The gallbladder's primary function is to store and concentrate bile (a yellowish-brown digestive enzyme) that is produced by the liver. Bile helps in digestive process by breaking up fats. Hand-in-hand with the liver, the gallbladder plays an important part in maintaining a proper ph balance of the body, while also removing health-harming toxins.

Thus, flushing out toxins from your gallbladder using apple cider vinegar is essential to maintain optimal health. By performing this gallbladder cleanse twice a year, you can help your gallbladder function at its optimal.

TO MAKE THIS CLEANSE, COMBINE:

1 cup water

1/2 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

2 tablespoons apple juice (organic, unfiltered)

Consume twice a year.

A cleanse like this can also help you avoid gallstones, which are thought to be caused by these situations:

1. When bile salt is not effective to dissolve cholesterol produced by liver, the excess cholesterol crystallizes and becomes gallstones.

2. When bile contains too much bilirubin (result from chemical breakdown of red blood cells).

3. When liver does not function properly due to long term damage, producing excessive amounts of bilirubin.

4. When gallbladder's ability to empty bile correctly is compromised, leading to bile being concentrated and crystallized.

Gallstones can block the passage of bile and cause inflammation and pain. Apple cider vinegar can helps to avoid these conditions.
